Our hopes is to win at least more than 3 games. As we are in the Senior grade we have to step up as it is going to be tough, but it would be worth it even if we lose.
Winter Tournament will be a great experience for those who don't do netball already.

Hi Room 11
ReplyDeleteWe are now in Vietnam the country of motorbikes!!!!! There are motorbikes everywhere, even parked on the foot paths so you have to walk on the roads. In Hanoi, there are 3.5 million motorbikes at the moment and 6.5 million people, which fill the rugged looking houses on each side of the road. Another thing about the motorbikes is that they toot all the time. They don't toot like we do in NZ, they toot just to let you know that they are there. Vietnamese people strongly believe in their culture and are really used to bad smells as everything smells really bad over here. The temperature has been up to 37 degrees some days !!! One thing that I do not like about Vietnam is that they have Hawkers everywhere walking up and down the roads trying to sell you stuff and they won't go away till you either buy it or walk into a shop. So far we have been to the Cu Chi tunnels, which were used in the American war. One whole village lived under there to protect themselves from being invaded. We went in one of the tunnels, they are so small you have crawls through them. The thought of being so far underground makes you feel sick!!!!! We have also been on a tour up the Mekong Delta where we went on one of those small skinny boats that feel like they are going to tip over. Yesterday we went on a 13 hour train ride up the coast to Hanoi in what seemed like a prison cell - the countryside was interesting with water buffalo pulling carts and ploughs.
Hope you go well in the winter tournament!!!
