As your feet hit the start line you could feel a buzz of excitement. What place am I going to to come in the Mapua School X-Country? We sprinted at the start with everyone cheering and yelling we pressed on and came to a steady place and found our place in the race. People were obviously cheering for Red!!!!Green!!!! We finished our laps one after ano
ther, around the mud in Aranui Park, getting more tired by the speed of each step. We all ducked under the rather low hanging finish sign, with a rather long speed stripe up our backs made of mud that came up from under our soaked feet. A sigh of relief crossed us as we gave our placing to Mrs Barns. The last cross-country at Mapua School for our lifetime!!!!!!
