We are part way through an in depth novel study in Room 11. We got to select a novel to focus on for the term from The Power of One, Mao's Last Dancer and The Loblolly Boy. We are given a range of pages to read each week, then we discuss the different aspects of the book in our group looking at inference before we have to use other reading strategies (visualisation and author's purpose) to show our understanding of the novel. If we have time we also use our HOTS by selecting activities from our Blooms Novel Study.
As you can see, we are all comfortable reading in a wide range of positions and places.
